Cornerback Branden Smith from Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta is no longer considering Tennessee.
Smith told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Monday that he decided to drop UT after Phillip Fulmer announced he will step down as the Vols’ head coach following the season.
“They’re out,” said Smith, the No. 1 prospect in the state of Georgia according to the AJC and Rivals.com.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Smith visited UT on Oct. 25 to watch the Vols play Alabama.
Smith is still considering Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Florida State.
