Another day, another lost commitment for Tennessee.
Tailback Jarvis Giles became the latest to rescind his pledge to be a part of UT’s 2009 signing class, according to Internet reports.
“I’m going to be calling them (Tennessee’s coaches) today and set everything right and let them know I’m officially de-committing,” Giles told GamecockCentral.com. “I’ve been with them for a long time and I want to handle it the right way, but it’s not the right situation for me.”
The decision isn’t really a surprise. Giles was one of the most vocal UT prospects following head coach Phillip Fulmer’s ouster last week.
Giles told the News Sentinel last week that he planned to follow UT recruiter Stan Drayton to wherever he coached next season.
